Proposed hardware

For the Central Processing System (CPS) a fast system has been installed at the customers premises, in order to maintain more than 1 month of fine grain data.
For the probes cheap and small systems were installed.

 

1. The CPS

For the CPS the following system was used: DELL PowerEdge R630 64GB RAM, 4 x 1000GB SSD

Intel Xeon Processor E5-2600 v3 product family The Intel Xeon processor E-2600 v3 product family has embedded PCIe lanes for improved I/O performance. See the Processor section for details.
Intel C610 series chipset The R630 server uses the Intel Platform Controller Hub (PCH) chip.

 

 

2. Probe systems

For the Probes the following system was used: DELL Optiplex 3020 Micro Core i5-4590T, 8GB, 500 GB SSD, 2 Ethernet (1 on-board, 1xUSB3)

3. Traffic Generator / Receiver hosts

For the Traffic Generator and Receiver hosts, the same hardware was used as for the probes.
